Qualifications and Credentials:
License: Pre-licensed Intern Student
Certifications: Actively pursuing the
RPT™ credential through ongoing training and supervision
Hi, my name is Krystal DeBonis. I am a second-year master’s student at Southwestern College, and I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. My own experiences with trauma during childhood and adolescence inspired me to pursue this work, especially with children and teens. I hope to offer young people a space where they feel heard, seen, and most importantly, safe.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, mothers, and women’s issues. I believe that all families deserve access to mental healthcare that is compassionate, affirming, and accessible. I approach this work through an intersectional feminist lens, honoring the many identities, experiences, and systems that shape each person’s life.
A few fun facts about me: I am a mom to two girls, I’m married to a video game developer, and I absolutely love fun facts. I also love animals, cross-stitching, reading, gardening, eating, and spending time with my family.
