Hello! My name is Anna Ramirez Altuzar, and I am an intern at Treehouse. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at New Mexico Highlands University.

I have experience working with children in a variety of settings, including as a forensic interviewer and a Registered Behavior Technician. These experiences helped me discover my passion for supporting children and creating a space where they feel safe, understood, and free to be themselves.

My approach is rooted in creativity, curiosity, and compassion. I strive to meet each child where they are and support their emotional growth, self-expression, and confidence in a way that feels natural and engaging to them.

Outside of Treehouse, I enjoy collecting trinkets like Smiski, Mofusand, and Calico Critters, putting together fun outfits, and caring for my 10 pets who keep life full and joyful.
