Kelsie Bacon, LCSW
(she, her)
Hi, I'm Kelsie! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) serving the Albuquerque area. I graduated from UNM with a B.A. in Psychology and Family Studies and received my master’s degree from New Mexico Highlands University in Clinical Social Work. I am currently working towards my certification to become a Registered Play Therapist. I've worked school-based and agency-based settings providing therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents and teens.
I love supporting Autistic individuals and I utilize DIRFloortime techniques with many of my clients. I also love working with teenagers and find it fulfilling to connect with them and help them feel understood and supported. I am passionate about working with children from a trauma informed perspective using nondirective play therapy and sand tray techniques. Additionally, I enjoy working with parents and their children using Theraplay techniques to promote attachment and deepen connections.
I pride myself on being someone people can feel safe and understood with. I love play and find that it helps all of us as we journey through life. Please reach out if you are needing support.
