Hi! I am Ally. I am an Intern Supervisor at The Treehouse. A little about me, I have been working with neurodiverse populations across many settings for 16 years. I received my Undergraduate degree in Special Education and Elementary Education, where I taught full inclusion for 4 years before pursuing my Graduate degree in Social Work. My passion for community drives my desire to learn more. I am certified in Safe and Sound Protocol, AutPlay, and DIRFloortime therapy, and am working toward my Registered Play Therapy Certification. During my free time you can often find me outside with my dog: backpacking, snowboarding, biking, running, and camping.
My life motto is "Life is a playground, not a parking lot." I believe it is important to incorporate all aspects of an individual's identity, including the environment, while taking a playful lens that builds on each of our personal strengths. As a therapist, I focus on building a strong foundation for a relationship that helps each client reach their personal goals and desires.
