Hello! I'm Katie and I'm the owner of The Treehouse. In addition to being a business owner, I am a therapist, author, speaker, and proud Autism mom! I identify as being multiply neurodivergent and believe my unique brain is my greatest professional asset. I hold the credentials of Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor (RPT-S) and am an Approved Provider of Play Therapy Continuing Education, which I have been honored to do at local, state, and international levels. 

 

Before opening the Treehouse, I had many formative experiences working in residential treatment, schools, and home-based therapy. I consider myself a prescriptive play therapist and utilize a wide range of techniques to support my clients.  I utilize play, art, and sand in the majority of the work that I do, but I specifically love Autplay and DIRFloortime. I am a strengths-based therapist and I utilize a person-centered approach, always. I provide supervision for counselors and am an interdisciplinary supervisor for Social Workers in New Mexico. 

 

My greatest professional passion is helping support and advocate for those with sensory and learning differences, and I work with education and business communities to provide accommodations for individuals to thrive.
