Hi- I’m Kate, and I’m beyond excited to be interning with The Treehouse as I work toward my master’s degree in clinical counseling. I’m a Recreational Therapist with experience in special education and inpatient psychiatric settings. I believe in the power of play, and that childhood is an ideal time to build coping skills and strengthen positive relationships with self and others.

I enjoy bringing sessions into nature and using art and music as meaningful therapeutic modalities to support regulation, connection, and growth. Many difficulties can be healed through healthy connections and a strong social support network.

In my free time, I love hiking, gardening, and spending time with my fiancé, two dogs, and one cat. I’m thrilled to learn, collaborate, and support children and families through play-based therapy at The Treehouse.
