Amy Trevino, LPCC RPT

(she, her)

I have 16 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and a School Psychologist. I have worked in various settings that includes the school setting, children's psychiatric hospital, outpatient organizations, and private practice setting. I have experience working with children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances and severe mental illness. My present scope of practice includes supporting parents/guardians with challenging behaviors, and working with victims of abuse and trauma. In addition I have a special interest working with highly gifted youth.

If you are a parent/guardian raising a child/adolescent with special needs and/or challenging behaviors, I can help support you through the journey of advocacy. Maneuvering through the various systems, and building on current parenting skills to support you across settings. If you or a loved one are struggling with the effects of trauma, I can support you.

Seeking support and help takes courage! Congratulations on taking the first steps! I support my clients through honesty, transparency, genuineness, compassion, and empowerment. I feel everyone has the tools to maneuver through their journey, sometimes as humans we hit hurdles and get stuck. This is ok, we can work through this together!
